I have all two button suits mainly because I like the look better but also because when you want to button and unbutton your suit you only have to deal with one button.

So when should you have your jacket buttoned and when should you have it unbuttoned?

Thanks
John

Buttoned when standing, unbuttoned when sitting. That's how I do it as a general rule, but it's alright to unbutton while standing if it's a more casual environment, though it looks a bit sloppy.

Ok that would make sense.

I was also thinking maybe you would unbutton it if you have to move around, perhaps dance a party.

That pretty much sums it up.

BTW I only button the middle on a three button jacket, so just a simple as with your two button preference.

+1 It sure is arduous unbuttoning that second button. Plus with three buttons you are more likely to get a dust on one.
