I like to buy things that look terrible on the models, then I find they look terrible on me and I return them. I like their boxes though.

It is nearly impossible to browse due to the sheer volume, but if you have something in mind and you can limit to the correct sizes, it's shop-able.

I only head over there if someone else points me at something new/on sale etc.

You are right about it being a bit overwhelming to just browse though, even with above-average search modifiers on the sidebar there.

me too. Too many things, too little information, too weird of photos.

Yup, same here. The few decent things I've found weren't much cheaper than retail, either.

The lack of detailed sizing information discourages me from purchasing anything from them. I wear a Long and it is difficult to tell what size many of these items are. There have been many items I thought long and hard about buying, but not enough info kills it.

They have a lot of brands on there but IMO only 10-12 are worth looking for, so filter by that, and then color. I took a leap of faith and purchased a Massimo Alba cotton blazer Yoox at deep discount ($700 to $120) last fall. Worked out perfectly but not sure if I'd get so lucky again. The color was much lighter than in the photos. Also the photos there usually have all 3 buttons buttoned, but mine was 3/2 roll and assume most of the others are too.

How's the fit on the Massimo Alba - slim fitting, regular, or a tent?

I know the brands I like and search by those. Sometimes, I will just browse through the names and click on the ones that sound cool. This is how I discovered Lardini, Cristiani, and Roda to name a few.

Fairly slim, but since it's cotton I prefer that as I don't think cotton drapes that well. It's a euro 50, and I usually wear a 40. I've since tried on other MA items at Barney's but didn't like them as much.

Bought many things, but I know my exact sizes in things/brands I buy:
Armani suits for dirt cheap
Boglioli suits/jackets
Lardini suits
some Caruso jackets
...and some Diesel Denim Gallery jeans

I've had good luck with their shoes. I always wait until at least the 2nd markdown.

If you use the filters, the site is much more manageable. Buy several items and be prepared to return any or all of them when they don't fit. I have done well there, but have returned more than i have kept.
