1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

Hardly any money. If the guy is who he says he is, it might be interesting. Highly doubt you could transition from zero background in finance to being employed as a quant after this alone though.

Apparently he teaches in the Masters in Financial Engineering programs at Columbia and CUNY Baruch.

but why does such a guy need to advertise like in such a lowlife way? It all seems so bizarrely lowbrow.

The way I read it it's some sort of odd experiment, really, maybe to see what he can accomplish. Maybe just post to his thread and ask "why are you doing this when you could be teaching at a uni?"

    that's a good idea.

Also...are you familiar with these Financial engineering/math masters programs? Just wondered if you knew anything about the Columbia programS or the CUNY Baruch program? Or any opinions? [IMG] Any advice gratefully appreciated...
