Are these type of shoes better for casual environments versus the office b/c of the texture of the shoe?

Thank you

Cheers

Do you prefer them over "regular" leather shoes?

No. But, for me, they are a nice change of pace...

They are a bit more casual and countrified so not for the most conservative business environments or formal outfits but as you see a lot of people on WAYWRN wear sports jacket and odd trousers for work, often tweed, and scotch wingtips pair up well with that look IMO.

I like them with flannel suits and casual wear.

I want those scotch grain color 8 as well. They are sold by Tassels in HK. I have a feeling the price will be outrageous.

Yeah...I'm scared to email to ask!! I would love to wear these with Grey flannel slacks and jeans. I may inquire at the next Alden truck shoe in my area.

Oh, I only like scotch grain in shell. I have a pair of BF calf scotch grain longings that get very little wear, but my scotch grain #8 shell high boots and brandy shell Rider chukkas get lots of wear this time of year.

I'm not a huge fan of Longwings or Color #8 but I love the pebble gain and the color of these.
