Glad you like Cahoots. It is an underrated album; some serious gems are on there: When I Paint My Masterpiece, Life is a Carnival, Where Do We Go from Here, The Moon Struck One.

Another good "one song:" Peg by Steely Dan!

I like Peg; but I'd pick Deacon Blues or Kid Charlemagne over that one.

A dear friend and the most talented pianist I have ever met playing Paul Mauriot's "Love is Blue." On request, he will rearrange it on the fly to suit whatever I tell him I am feeling at that moment.

I almost typed Kid Charlemagne. I am such a huge SD fan that picking one song is impossible

I had The Nightfly playing while I ran errands today. I think "Teahouse on the Tracks" is my favorite Fagen song...it has one of the slickest grooves I've ever heard.

For me, it's a tough call between the first movement of Mahler 9, "The Dead Flag Blues" by Godspeed You! Black Emperor, and "Act One/Eternal Sunshine/the Pledge" by Jay Electronica.

+1. I also like Bizarre Love Triangle. It reflects a personal situation of mine quite accurately.

Not a big fan of them- except for The Royal Scam

    Neil Young - "Cinammon Girl"

I prefer many others, but Neil has SOOO many.
