1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

    There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    I'm not getting those but I'm just curious how acrylic scarves will feel like.

    I don't find them warm and cozy at all. Kinda defeats the purpose of wearing a scarf.

    I wore acrylic sweaters all the time in my 'Cosby Sweater' phase. I'm done with it. It pills almost immediately and it feels awful.

    I have a sweater from Zara that was 50% acrylic, 25% cashmere, 25% wool that I rather like.

    It seems like scientists or whoever is out there designing fabrics should be able to improve on natural materials. I wonder why it is proving/has proved difficult...

    zara's bringing out 100% merino wool and 100% cashmere sweaters right now, fyi.
