1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

When will the panta site (http://www.pantaclothing.com) actually list their products for sale? I see the site has remained unfinished for a long time. ie; Can't order any shirts of trousers because they are simply not listed. Anyone know when we should be able to order from the site?

    Well, its a stupid site.

But you can't buy pants or shirts because there are none available, stuff is being made and won't be ready to October at least. Places close down for August so production comes to a standstill. There are ties there now and there will be fall/winter cashmere, wool and silk ties added by mid Sept. or so.

Ed, is the website a correct indication that suits are in your future?

definitely sportcoats, suits are hopeful but I need to make sure I can get the pants right, they can't be cut like the odd pants I sell. Shoes will most likely show up before either.

Mauro, sorry I never got back to you. Met him at the show at the Flatotel (I think you and I may have even crossed paths, were you there with with a woman?), will be using him for the sportcoats just trying to work out some logistics. He is a nice guy, knows his stuff and the work is really top notch.

Wow, judging by the quality of the Panta pants I already have, I'm definitely intrigued by the sportcoat teaser. And shoes too?? Question though, what is it about suit pants that would demand a different cut than the odd trousers you currently sell? I'm definitely not a suit connoisseur, so I'd be interested to hear the explanation for this.

Why do clothes makers shut down in July/August? I know that the Canadian ones do, too. Are the orders down that much?

Anyone heard the latest from panta? I've been walking the streets pantless waiting for the next batch, and it's getting chilly in new york.
