What's up with the new Canali fit?

Has anybody else noticed the new Canali fit this season? Most models are now a drop 8, thus requiring sizing up (ala Tom Ford).
Thought it was strange considering Canali has the reputation for having a fuller cut.

I noticed it today when I received the Barney's spring book. It looks great, and I hope it is as slim as it looks. I have always liked the quality of Canali but could not wear it due to the full cut. I would like to hear from someone who has seen or tried the new cut.

That's only the model 14xxx/xx drop 8. They still make a:

model 11xxx/xx (drop 6)
model 13xxx/xx (drop 7)
model 15xxx/xx (no drop, or 'natural drop'. This is their soft/unstructured model).

Note the model 11xxx/xx is bit shorter this season. I used to fit a regular in this model, now I'm definitely a long.

What models end up on the rack of your favourite boutique store depend purely on what the buyer chooses.

I can't wear a 14xxx/xx drop 8 as it pulls too much at my waist. It is defintely a bit slimmer in the waist than the 13xxx/xx drop 7, and it slimmer in the arms too.

The 21320/10 means its an 'unlined' Drop 6 model. So 11xxx/xx means a lined jacket in the drop 6 body, a 21xxx/xx means unlined (usually quarter lined). Likewise a 23xxx/xx means an unlined drop 7 body, the 24xxx/xx means an unlined drop 8 body etc. Have a better look at the tag to see if it says 52 R 6 or 52 L 6 (or 52 C 6), where '52' is the European size number. The prefix 'L' in front of the model number doesn't refer to the length of the jacket and trouser. Instead you need to look for the big 'R', 'L" or 'C" under the European size. There are all sorts of prefixes that go in front of the model number. 'A', 'L', 'AC', 'AL', I haven't figured out what these mean yet.

How is Canali construction wise? I never got much of a read on them, since I wasn't attracted to the full cut but the slim does look nice. Drop 8? Not scared. Drop 10 and I might bat an eye.
