What's Thom Browne been up to?

Either he is on acid, or I am. Can someone else watch the video and confirm?

Eh, it’s a fashion show. It is not supposed to be boring. In fact, it was noteworthy enough for the OP to start a thread.

Meanwhile, each season TB makes a mint selling, among other things, those branded cashmere and merino crew neck sweaters and cardigans. Retailers can’t keep them in stock. There is not one SF affiliate that would not kill for similar cash cows.

Some of the pieces are really interesting, but I can't stand his colour palette. I liked the giraffe too, and the animal heads in general...

I neither care particularly for Thom Browne nor for couture in general, but I actually quite enjoyed this show.

Interesting looks, I quite like the paired conceit.

He defined his style around a few very specific touch points (British public school trad, deliberately limited color palette, exaggerated details ) and can’t seem to do much beyond that.

^ I agree. Each season the offerings become even more bizarre and more exaggerated. Sizing and fit aside, the finishes and details are what make it unwearable for me.

During the years he collaborated with BB to offer the Black Fleece label, I thought he came out with some interesting offerings.

The fact that I was forced to go to a British boarding schools from the age of 8 may have something to do with my antipathy towards his fetishism of the 'schoolboy' aesthetic. He's more interesting when he pushes past this.
