I remember a thread in which you bought a TB suit from bergdorf goodman....that really only ran you $1300???

He indexed it off of his most expensive shirt, which is assigned the value of 100. So the suit price is not $1300; it's 13x the price of his most expensive shirt, whatever that is.

Which pair of shoes cost you $1065? More importantly, do you still have them?

Well explained. This poll really should be based on averages rather than maximums though. e.g. Manton may have laid down a hefty chunk of change for his JL Paris bespokes but it was a one off thing. I'm sure his average shoe cost is much more reasonable. With pretty much all of my purchases, I inevitably scratch an expensive itch and scale back from there to an acceptable cost/happiness balance. Expensive at first but you never wish "o if only ..."
