When I was moving a moving box full of cashmere knitwear got lost. No idea where they've gone and who has them now. Frustrating. Never bought cashmere since.

Y'all some careless motherfuckers.

That being said, I knocked some Gucci shades off of my head and into the water when on a party cruise once. It worked out in the end because I ended up dating the girl I was chatting up at the time for a year.

Then she broke my heart. So i guess it really didn't work out in the end. ****.

Once in college a friend was entrusted to ship me a couple boxes of my clothes, which never arrived.

One contained a brown and black striped 50s Pendleton coat. Not expensive, just cool.

Once a decade later, I left my dry cleaning on the subway (Hung it on the pipe, got off the train, then remembered). Bye-bye, Turnbull & Asser shirt etc. Oh well.

Later I somehow lost one of the Swank swivel-back cufflinks with my grandfather's initials and given to me by my grandmother after he died.

That's the one that hurts.

I still wear the surviving link sometimes for good luck.

Forgot a pair of Ben Sherman loafers that I actually liked at the mall. That's about it. I guess I'm careful.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
