Boardroom is okay if you want the ease and safety of US return/shipping/client service, though not the best value, with only their patterned being flush-toe and I believe 176 Needle Count (a gauge of thickness). Especially if you are buying multiple pairs - where the impact of shipping cost for some international companies is diluted.

For ~$10 I would suggest Pedemeia out of Portugal. Celchuck is reputable, though every time I check their website, they have like a ~50% sale going on, which does not inspire confidence from an ethics standpoint, to me personally.

For ~$20 my favorite is Il Regalo (Japan) and just about anything offered by Mes Chaussettes Rouge (France).

Boardroom will keep you under $20 for Over-The-Calf and are a reasonable price, though for just a few extra dollars, you get a massive increase in both construction quality and designs in the low-mid $20 range.

Question: the Il Regalo sizing is Large for 10.5 and up. Do you find that runs true to size as I am a 10.5 or 11 depending on the brand?

I am a solid UK7/US8 across almost all shoes and their Small is perfectly snug for me - which is to say I think their sizing is pretty spot on, if not on the safer side of snug. I would stick with the Large if you were a perfect US10.5 across the board, and especially if you are sometimes closer to 11. 100% Large if you are speaking about UK10.5.

Im in the same boat as you, it looks like they don't have invisible / no show socks for larger feet.
