What's the deal with Yanuk?

No real mention of them on superfuture and it looks like Skalogre was the only one who really asked about them in a thread. I'm interested in hearing if anyone has a pair to compare quality/fit. Bluefly has some raw, 9 1/2" bootcuts for $80 and in a ton of sizes. Detailing looks much better than Marc, too. http://www.bluefly.com/pages/product...&Nu=Product+ID It just seemed odd to me that bluefly's about the only big site that sells Yanuk for men since it looks like their line is women-oriented.

I think that the jeans are decent on discount. They use a lot of stretch denim, which is really my beef, but whatever. The details are usually okay, and I like the color of some of their jeans, but sometimes they go a little overboard, imo.

Yeah, their use of stretch denim screams women's apparel to me, but those raw jeans look really clean for a pretty decent price. I'm just curious how their denim feels or holds up.

Doesn't seem like anyone owns a pair, which is odd considering the price.

Closer to $60 but yeah you're right. Ironically I just started a Factory ppl thread.

Yeah, go figure. I'm just looking at it now but they only have a 30 in raw when I'm a natural 32". I was looking more for a 31" so I could stretch it out and let it shrink later.

Too much of a risk going two sizes down?

ok...the detailing is technically ok..actually its really good. the washes are done pretty well; but shockingly consistent. everytime I try to like them, they fail me. the fit IS way femminine-like an overly pronounced bootcut. and they're distributed through the same people that do antik; so they reek of california two years ago-and that's the cold, subjective truth.

I just picked up a pair of those "reverse stitch " jeans. The "chain" in the chainstitching is on the outside. Looks nice. Not selvedge, of course. Paid $36.

This is my first pair of anything dry. Any tips?

glad i stumbled across this thread i just got a pair off bluefly.. for um im not sayin lol.. but they were originally set to sell for $220 or $230 anyway theyre the distressed moonlight recessive ones i believe with the with the torn up looks like the pockets were moved over and restiched sorry hard to explain anyway i think they look awesome and feel and fit great.. however im curious as to why no one talks about um..(actually i kind of like that fact ) ive never seen a person with a pair of jeans like the ones ive got .. theyre low rise 9" bootcut but have a little flare at the end which again i think is cool .. i am kinda worried about how long theyll last but then again i intend on them being one of many pairs of designer jeans and i dont intend to overwash either... run a little long and i had to go to a tailor "original hem" but overall i think theyre a nice pair of denim... that and alot of what guys think around here is cool in denim i think is a little iffy.....

but i still like speed cats so what do i know? lol..

sorry hate to double post but the jeans i have are nowhere similar to the ones in the original picture to start this thread and not anything similar to most of the yanuk mens jeans ive viewed in the past with the button pockets i wouldnt be caught dead in the majority of yanuks products but i do think some sweet ones exist...

Gotta give the guy props for using the often neglected search function. Welcome to the forum...

They are just like all the other brands under the same company, antik, taverniti so...just not a fan.
