Ordered a Borrelli pants from the internet but the seller shipped me the wrong size. I'm guessing that it's equivalent to size 30 American but if anyone could confirm that'd be better.

I'll be posting this on the buy-sell section to see if anyone is interested before returning it to the seller (hoping s/he would take it back). It's a brand new blue cotton pants with the Borrelli price tag still attached.

Thanks in advance for the info.

Heh really? If that's the case I retract my statement about the seller mistake then. Although the pants fit way tighter than my other US sized 34 pants.

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but wouldnt the size be dependant on the drop so if the pants were drop 6 you would be right however if the pants are a drop 8 (50 with a drop 8) they would be tight as in effect that are a 32.

Is there drop when it comes to pant sizes? I'm pretty sure that the number refers to the measurement of the seat.

Actually there is a drop on pants (at least according to the order form I order from ) however I would imagine that drop 8 means a waist of a 32 with the otherwise proportions of a 34. Otherwise you could just call it a drop 6 of a 48...

Only true for neck size.... 17.5 us = 44 , but 34" us is not = 86.5 which is 2.54 times, but 50 in trousers and 36" is 52, etc...

    I am sorry, FC-San.
But American sized pants, and pants sold for the American market, are generally cut a bit more generously to preserve the illusions we all maintain, and to keep pace with our expanding national waistline. An American 32 is easily a British 34 or a European 50 (although I thought Euro 48 was US 34). Many manufacturers' dimensions are cut much slimmer in their home markets (ie Charvet shirts in Paris, if my memory serves me correctly).

Andrew, I didn't see any drop listed here. Kaga-san, thanks for the sympathy, ain't no luck here. Anyone interested on the pants could see more details on the buy/sell forum. Cheers... http://www.styleforum.net/cgi-bin....;t=5364

Do i-tash-te mash-te. You are welcome, Ferry-san. Having looked at the trousers in question, they are nice, though... very, very blue. As my show is currently defunct I cannot wear them to host another episode. Perhaps to another special battle against Bobby Flay?
