I will say this - if indeed I break up with my girlfriend, neither one of us will have "benefitted" more, seeing as we spoil each other. Perhaps I'm the exception to the rule, or you date stingy bitches.

You might be lucky, kronik. I can't say i've looked at statistics. Maybe older more established women are more generous, I don't know, as I've never dated a girl over 24.

Then again, maybe it's just traditional gender roles playing their part, because almost every guy i know has bought his gf jewelery at one point or another. The number of girls that have spent similar amounts is quite small imo. Now maybe they're not being stingy and just can't afford lavish gifts in return, but still, when it ends, you'll have spent x hundreds or thousands for nothing tangible in return. The money is better off in a savings account, or on your feet in the form of EGs. Men spend enough on women as it is.

I bought a diamond pendant for a girl once and i now consider it the biggest waste of money ever. Even if you love them at the time, the reality is that you'll likely break-up with them, so why spend extra on top of all the dinners and regular stuff you often pay for unless you've got a firm commitment to them? Hell, even then it's still a 50/50 chance ;p

I also had a buddy that was crazy about this one chick, probably thought he was gonna eventually marry her, and so bought her a 4k watch. Did he get more ***** than usual for a couple weeks? Probably, but when it ended she kept the watch, and he felt like an idiot.

Anyway, I just think too many guys get suckered, and that's where I'm coming from. I was just chiming in as a cautionary note

I've bought my fair share of expensive gifts for women, but I don't expect anything in return, and I don't expect it back if I leave them.
Golden rule, wave goodbye to the money, and you won't even care about it.
Heck, people waste so much money on rubbish, and don't complain about it for a second, and at least giving a nice gift to a woman you love gives more satisfaction.

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
