What would you do? Style dilemma….

This really happened to me... I head off on a trip and pack way too fast. On the trip I have to attend a "semi formal" dinner (though they meant informal). The clothes I have with me:

Navy suit
Tan Microcheck Jacket (the one in my Avtar)
Tan pants
"band aid" coloured shoes
"band aid" coloured belt
Black shoes
Shirt and Ties

What is missing? Black belt.

My first thought was to buy a new black belt - but one could not be had.

What would you do?

If it matter the weather was hot, and the other guests were dressed anywhere from shirt no tie and chino to a few in Dinner Jackets.

When I'm on the road, I cheat. I have a reversible belt. One less item to carry along and you never know.

Navy suit, black shoes...keep the jacket buttoned if you are worried about the no belt problem.

not a bad idea though then you'd have fit issues to contend with.

I own a dinner jacket but opted to not bring it on the trip. I know what semi-formal means, but I also new it would be a crowd with less then 1% of the men in Dinner Jackets so opted not to put my dinner jacket through the travel.

That is what I did. I figured most people wouldn't notice and those that do would by Style aware enough that they would assume I was wearing braces.
