What would you call a style section in a magazine?

Hello everyone - wanted to see whether anyone here would be kind enough to share their opinion. We're restructuring the inside of our magazine, changing the 'news and reviews' section to 'Miscellany', the columns section we're now calling 'Discourse', features will remain as features...

for our fashion section - which although currently mainly contains the odd bit and bob on various gent's accessories, and brands like Ettinger, Dunhill, Mappin and Webb and what not, will grow very soon into a full style section, with a theme each issue. The first full release of the style section we're thinking will be around 50 pages in the magazine, and will be a series of shoots, interviews and editorials (possibly written in association with Debrett's) about traditional English style - from country/tweed lead styles to Savile Row suits and designers.

Anyway - the real point of the thread, is we were thinking of calling this section Sartorial.

What are your thoughts... does it suit the others, would you chose something else, do you think it 'works', is it suitably descriptive? Would you understand what we meant with it?

Thoughts/suggestions/input welcome and cherished! If someone makes a suggestion that we decide to use I'll sort them out a free subscription!

Why are you doing this, exactly? Each of the two names you have chosen already sounds worse than the ones they replace. "Miscellany" sounds like "also noted" back-of-book items of no great importance. "Discourse" is a shopworn word that reeks of 90s academia. Stick with what you have.

The why is mainly a restructuring of the mag. We had news, and tried, and as the magazine grew, the tried section doesn't really portray the right thing, it started as our product reviews section, then we added product shoots (of things we hadn't tried, only shot), our news section started to include reports on launches we attended, parties we hosted, and wasn't really news any more, and now we're merging the two sections, adding our automotive content and travel content into the same templates/layout. Like GQs DETAILS section or Esquire's INQUIRE section. It's not a case of sticking with what we have as that's not an option, it's finding something suitable to replace it. Something that also suits the tone of the magazine.

Yes, based on the cover of your most recent issue you sound like a UK version of Stuff, but those section titles sound like something from the New Yorker. Also, there is no apparent rhyme or reason to these choices or thematic consistency between them (or between them and the magazine). These section titles don't lead me to feel there is any kind of unified editorial vision. I'd start with the tone you are trying to project and your market and work from there, w/out trying to get too cutesy.

The New Yorker would never use headings like those.

'Haberdasher'

or

'The Haberdashery'

The Style Section. In Italian, of course; your title is so subtle, after all.

Personally I think 'Sartorial' and 'Discourse' sound fine, although I don't like the sound of 'Miscellany', it sounds like you just made up a section to shove anything that didn't fit in other sections...
