If it were orange and had zipper pockets i would not buy.

...Or if it had sleeves that were too full.

It's not ripple, it's drape - the way Scholte originally intended

If it's in perfect condition, I'd buy it to flip. But for me to keep something, the name is irrelevant -- I have to like how it looks and fits. In that regard, I try to treat a Kiton, say, the same as a Polo blue label.

I've passed up several deals on Lobbs because I just don't like them. Not a bargain if you don't like it and won't wear it.

1. (the obvious) Not to my taste
2. Defect
3. Too similar / fills hole that does not need filling
4. NPC/ recent purchase guilt

I do confess that the siren song of an SF-worshipped brand would probably have more influence over me than I'd like to admit, but then I'm a relative newb and I don't have the dollars or the wardrobe of some of those (iammatt, vox, fuuma) who are mercifully free of such a pull.

Still, I'd have to actually like it. I have run across some Kiton things, in my size, at maybe not quite so steep discounts as 90% off, but certainly things I could afford, and passed them up because I just didn't like the way they looked. Pattern was off, or just didn't look good. Kiton and Borrelli just don't seem to look good on me.

Yet I did buy a Borrelli "field jacket" from Gilt and got ****** with gdl when he said it didn't fit, which I suppose reflects the painful dichotomy of someone who is still working up the learning curve.
