Just for fun - What are you wearing for Thanksgiving? What kind of setting?

We are having 10+ people over for a fairly typical suburban Thanksgiving dinner. The group ranges in age from 24-60. I have, for the first time, found the cardigan look appealing. I'm thinking grey flannels, cardigan and solid tie. Seems ideal for kicking back and enjoying champagne all afternoon and good friends without being too formal. What about you?

(I think if I was in my 20's I'd wear a bow tie

Volunteering at the big feast for the homeless at the Convention Centre. Will be wearing a t shirt, combat trousers and doc marten boots. It wouldn't feel like Thanksgiving if I didn't come home covered in gravy and yam juice. Are you gonna be there TC?

still deciding between charcoal trousers/navy sweater, and a tie or a full suit. My brother will be showing up in his army class a so I wouldn't stand out too much but all my other cousins dress like typical american teens who have been forced to dress up.

Sweater, tie, corduroys. I don't want to wear anything too fancy because my wife and I are cooking for 20.

I'll be attending my nephew's high school football game in a town northwest of Boston then heading to my sister-in-law's for dinner. I'll probably wear a tweed jacket, OCBD, and grey flannels. I'm pretty sure from past experience I will be the only person in a three town radius wearing tweed.

It's going to be cold so I'll wear a Tartan plaid shirt, cords, cashmere sweater, suede chukkas, and duffle coat.

Thanks but it's hard to feel noble as we have so much fun doing it. There's a group of us meet up to do this only twice a year every Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve so its like a family reunion as I don't have any family over here, and unless I've been traveling I've been doing it about 17 years now. One of the group met a fella there a couple of years ago and we were all invited to their wedding in January. It happens to be my birthday too, and while we English don't know anything about thanksgiving, if you yanks are gonna give me a four day weekend for my birthday that's fine with me!

Dinner either at Grandma's in Napa, or somewhere nearby; I don't yet know if she's decided to host or not. In either case I'll dress the same, probably cords, shirt and sweater.

Number of guests: 8-12
Age range: 14-96

Something similar. Volunteering at a soup kitchen with the wifey on TG day -- so, probably a tshirt, shorts, and sneakers.

It will be the maiden voyage of my wine cords. Everything else is up in the air. Except the cigar. The cigar will make a great accessory, while it lasts.
