What type of summer shoes should I wear?

Basically what the title asks. Ill be wearing mostly shorts and polo shirts, with a wide variety of colour, but black polos will be something I go back to repeatedly. They dont have to be able to work with jeans, but thatd be nice too.

I've never really bought nice shoes before, my life has always been chucks or sneakers. So any advice, that is budget conscious (university student here), is most welcome.

Driving loafers with no socks. Or regular loafers without socks, that also works pretty well.

Today we had wonderful weather and I was wearing my purple driving moccs.
I think the models mentioned already work best: loafers, boat shoes, moccs...

Dont you find chukkas too warm in the summer? It gets to be about 33C (91F) here with about 95% humidity. I cannot imagine chukkas being comfortable in that environment.
