I like both the pants and shirt in the following pics. Sorry for the low quality, they are stills from Lost World. 1) Are they just regular Chinos in a very light shade? 2) What material is the shirt, looks quite coarse to me? [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

    lol it's 2.

I like em' because they look loose and comfortable without being as "old man-ish" as regular chinos.

I think the loose, billowy style is what makes the pants good.

Any idea's what they are? Where to get something similar?

(I'm in London next week, if that helps.)

Go to Jermyn Street and you'll find something similar.

Those are reverse pleats, and look like they have a relatively low rise. The pants you originaly asked about have what looks to be a single forward pleat. I suspect they are white linen, not cotton. They also have a higher (proper) rise than the ones above.
Thanks, that helps a lot. Do you think the shirt is linen too? And since I'm in London, I'll feel like a moron - But should I just take the above photo's into a few stores on Jermyn street?

Those are either linen, or a silk and linen blend. I am leaning towards the blend. Ditto for the shirt, although it may be all silk.

The most recent Dries Van Noten show had some very full pants like those.

Polo Ralph Lauren makes trousers just like this, just not as baggy. You won't find any trousers with double forward pleats likes these on Jermyn Street, but you can find single forward pleats. But you might not find linen. Maybe Turnbull & Asser.
