Binge watched this 6 ep series last Friday or Sat.

Back in the 1990's, Pepsi was in a soda war with Coke. They were gaining traction with snazzy ads and celebrity endorsers.

(Cindy Crawford made a commercial appearance!)

Their next bright idea was to offer goods for Pepsi points. Buy a Pepsi, get points: redeem for a denim jacket or hat or glasses. Simple enough.

EXCEPT, someone at the ad agency/Pepsi decided to add a Harrier jet(for 7,000,000 points) at the end of the commercial WITHOUT a disclaimer.

A 21 year old biz student decided that he wanted the jet, and wanted to find a way to get it. He recruits a few people...and starts a multi year journey to hold Pepsi to the fire...for said jet.

Very interesting as I do remember the ads and push for Pepsi to overtake Coke back in the day. I was actually at Coney Island(Brooklyn, NY) one day years ago and took the Pepsi challenge(I picked Pepsi.)

Very watchable.

3.9/5.

Pepsi wins the challenge because it is sweeter. One sip, and generally prefer the sweeter product. A full can is a different story.

I haven't posted in YEARS...I came here to see what everyone was watching because I'm looking for something to watch at the moment hehe...

I'm currently watching Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War. I've waited 10years for the anime to come back, and man...I am not disappointed! It's been great so far.

Halfway through Wednesday. Not bad. As I feared, CZJ isn't a very good Morticia but everyone else is great.

My wife and daughter binged it over the weekend, so I caught bits of it. Jenna Ortega did a good job of making the character distinct and not just a copy of previous versions.

It was cool to see her dance to The Cramps. But it's too much a kids' show.

I stumbled on this 4 part series last night. I just finished watching it.

This documentary is a fascinating look at FIFA, the origins and the corruption that was(is?) rampant in the global sport of football.

There are shady elections, pay to play host of the World Cup and the movers and shakers moving and shaking with the most powerful heads of state.....many looking to line their pockets with cash.

Very timely with the current World Cup taking place.

A must watch, in my opinion!

4.25/5.

I just started it.
I was in between shows and it had pretty good reviews.
So I'm watching and thinking, "the lead in this is cute and pretty good" so I google to see what else she does.
Top news pops up

OF COURSE SHE'S DATING CHRIS EVANS

It's always good to be Chris Evans.
Started Warrior Nun. I’m very envious of Chris Evans.
