Not a huge fan of the last season of Stranger Things

Everything was so drawn out, seemed painfully slow at times - and despite previous statements that this was the last season, the show didn't even end!

on the topic of being slow, I feel like this season leaned way too heavily on "we're in this dangerous situation, lets just hang around and talk for a minute"

Obviously TV shows do this for storytelling reasons, but I don't remember it being nearly this bad in prior seasons (although I admit I don't have super clear memories of past seasons)...it just felt like they were doing a lot of stupid standing around to the point where it starts to break immersion.

Strange New Worlds had a phenomenal season final. One of the best first seasons I’ve seen for a sci-fi show in years. It’s only weak episode involved medieval cosplay and even then I didn’t hate it.

Don’t sleep on this show. It really is that good.

Yeah, there's one more season.
Duffer bros said probably not as long as this season was. They also said they had the whole story planned out from day one, and that it just wouldn't fit into 4 seasons.

4 -> 1 -> 2 -> 3

Edit: I got back and forth on season 1. It’s fantastic, but it’s missing a ton of the material that makes ST great these days. For example, look at Steve. He didn’t really develop till season two and has become one of the best characters in the show. Max was season two. Robin season three. Etc, etc.

I am up to (but haven't watched) the finale. Have loved the entire season, like you, the Ren Fair episode was the weakest, but still good. Overall, great cast, great writing. I hope to watch the last episode this weekend.
