I felt bad because we actually know one of the main actors, so we had to at least try to watch.
Really? Which one, if you don't mind my asking?

(I thought a couple did good work, and if you know Elizabeth Mitchell, I'm gonna be mad jealous)

On Stranger Things, it's interesting to see how much Eleven's backstory mirrors that of Jack from Mass Effect 2.

Girl with buzz cut is locked up with other children in a compound, where a shady organization is experimenting on them to develop their mental powers. Using these powers, slaughtering both guards and the other students, lead to an escape - only to return years later to regain the lost memory of how it actually happened...

Speaking of Stranger Things - if it was actually made in 1986, was starring Peter Vaughan, Hugh Laurie and Gary Oldman and had music by Kate Bush, it might have looked something like this:

I actually really liked the time travelers wife series. Too bad it didn’t get picked up to finish the story but the S1 ending works ok. (Didn’t read the book so I thought it was just a miniseries and that was the end until I saw a cancellation headline)

or maybe I just like Rose Leslie.

Last night's episode of Star Trek Strange New Worlds was enjoyable...
But it was straight up Aliens. There was even a "Newt".

Just finished the first season of Reacher. It's entertaining, and I think a little closer to the books than the movies were. Worth a watch, I think.

Tom Cruise caused a lot of complaints because Reacher is supposed to be really big and intimidating, and TC is neither. Watching the show I had an ah-ha moment when I realized they were just pissy because he didn't scratch their wish fulfillment itch of being that big and scary themselves.

Watching "The Bay". Just started season 2. It is on Brit Box on Amazon. Detective series with interesting flawed charaters in a seaside town.

I did a trial of Brit Box for "The Responder". Really liked it, I may pony up for it as it looks to have a ton of good content. I love the British detective, crime shows.

Finished the final for Stranger Things S4 last night. Such a phenomenal show. One of the few tv shows I can think of that has consistently improved each season. Well done.

Just watched Obie Wan series now the wife and I are going through all the Star Wars in chronological order. In the middle of Revenge of the Sith right now. The evolution of special effects by itself makes the trip fun.

Such a good show.
Holliday Grainger is adorbs...
Same!! Great writing, well acted and she is so perfect in that role. I’d never hear of it and came across it revently on HBO. Got through the first 3 seasons quickly.

I happen to know a few big and scary guys (scarier than big, TBH) who think Cruise in that role was a stupid move. Myself, I couldn't give a ****--the books are unreadable. The couple I tried are decent movie treatments, though, and the fact that Cruise was cast is beyond me except that it always comes down to money.
