Netflix told me that I'd like In From The Cold, a series about a former Russian secret agent who left and is now a mom on the verge of divorce with a moody teenage daughter. Naturally, she gets pulled back into covert work by the CIA. Oh, and it turns out she's got a sci fi-ish superpower. I'm three episodes in, and dammit, Netflix was right. I do like it. We'll see if it holds up over the remaining five episodes.

Started this last night....

A single mom is living life, loving her daughter, and just taking it one day at a time(< great name for a show!)

A trip to Madrid takes a turn when she is "abducted" and her past comes to light.

She is made an offer that she can't refuse: become an operative against Russia or suffer the ramifications! She chooses.....

I stopped watching after about 10 minutes. I am not saying that it was bad, I just couldn't focus. I will/might give it another shot over the wknd.)

No rating ATM!

The Puppet Master: Hunting the Ultimate Conman

3 part docuseries on Netflix about a con man masquarding as an MI:5 operative. Safehouses, hiding from the IRA, lives ruined.

Totally crazy story, but felt similar to This Is a Robbery to me. Strong start and you're like "holy ****, this is fascinating" but leaves you a little wanting at the end. That's possibly inevitable though because like the Gardner museum heist, there's ultimately no real ending.

This guy's the real life Liam Neeson in Taken:

I wonder if from a storytelling perspective, they should have front loaded the "modern day" version of the con. I'm sure the creators felt a duty to the modern day family to try and portray their struggle and hopefully change their situation, but the story of the old version of the con where he eventually gets caught is far more compelling.

That's already in my queue. Need to give it a shot.

Never watched Top Gear or anything besides random clips on youtube, but I'm about 3/4 of the way through this and it has been great.

Only one episode into season 2, but so far, its as good, if not better than season 1.

“When those hands of yours touch your privates, an alarm goes off in heaven. And every loved one you’ve ever known that’s dead, they’re alerted, they float to where you are, they join hands, and they watch you be dirty to yourself.”

I’m late to the game on this one, but I’m watching the 1st season of Ozark.
I’m kind of hot for Ruth…

I started watching the first ep of S1 when it came out and then got distracted and never finished. Never restarted.

One day!

If this is the afterlife being forced on you in heaven, I guess I'm happy that's not my likely destination.
