Louise English!! Holy crap I never knew her name.

It's always been the brunettes for me. Started with Mary Anne and ended with Alison Brie from Community. I'm sure there's a Charlies Angels reference too but I can't think of their names.

LOL I downloaded a torrent of the entire run of that show just so I can ogle the chicks in the Carmen opera episode (ep. 48, 5/9/1985).

How was Disco? I actually enjoyed Season 1, especially the second half but haven't seen anything after. Was still bummed to read Yeoh isn't getting her Section 31 show anytime soon though.

I know not directed to me but on Discovery front, I enjoyed Season one quite a bit. I liked season 3 more than Season 2. Very much looking forward to the Pike show.

Where did you read about the Section 31 show being delayed? Had not heard that.

I've been recently watching some YouTube reliving my crush on Karen from Bananarama...

I know this is a TV Series thread but I have to ask this question, because I've been thinking about it lately and wanted to get your consensus on which actor you think can routinely play a very good villain character. For the longest time I thought Gary Oldman was the best, even though he was more of the non violent type (having others do his bidding). Movies like "The Book of Eli", "The 5th Element" and "JFK" come to mind. However after rewatching "Broken Arrow" I think John Travolta is the ultimate villain. With titles like "Face/Off", "The Punisher", "The Taking of Pelham 123", "Swordfish", he's just such a natural at it. I remember reading something about the movie Face/Off and that Nicholas Cage wasn't convincing enough to play the villain, so they adjusted the plot so he's mainly seen as the protagonist, which makes perfect sense because Cage, while being a great actor, excels playing flawed character roles such as in Matchstick Men, being deeply troubled but having redeemable moments.

Any way what do you guys think?

How can you even mention Travolta in The Taking of Pelham 123? Shaw is the benchmark.

Also, with the exception of JFK, the 3 movies above are FAR better than any mentioned in your post. And the villains the Shaw plays are FAR superior.

Sorry but different era, I’m sure someone older then yourself would say that Brando or Christopher Lee were the ultimate antagonists of their day. I agree all are excellent but it comes down to age and association, neither of which I have with the aforementioned.

Also I’m confused, as a huge fan of Jaws, especially living in the state to which it was birthed, I thought fear, suspense and of course the shark were the villains...not Shaw.

Agreed. Though I'm not sure I'd call Quint a villain - but this guy qualifies nicely:
