City of God: The Fight Rages On.

It's a continuation of the movie with a lot of the original cast showing up again. Not quite as good as the original movie but still a decent series to watch.

Never heard of it, but it looks promising...

Has anyone watched the Rick Grimes Walking Dead spinoff?
I've stopped the first episode 3 times out of boredom. Does it get good at some point? The dream sequences where he's taking to Michonne in a park are dumb, to me.
I watched the Daryl version first season, and that was watchable.

For some reason I had some of that awful dialog from the last vikings pop into my head. This is essentially what 2 of the vikingsmens said to each:

V1: kartol kartolstark you are not the same kartol kartolstark I went to war with, slaughtered thousands while we rapped and pillaged.

V2: Erik elks you are correct, I am not the same kartol kartolstark you were friends with when we killed all those people. I am a different.

V1: kartol kartolstark you have changed.

V2: yes I have changed and now I'm a completely different person.

Nothing can compare to the Shakespeare like dialogue of Star Wars prequels.

"I don't like sand. It's coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere. Not like here. Here everything is soft and smooth."

I started Monsieur Spade on Netflix a while ago but gave up. Tried again last week and am now 3 episodes (of 6) in. Gotta say, it's pretty damn good, even if the plot is overly complicated with a couple/few too many characters. Doesn't help that at least twice they get the characters names wrong in the subtitles--- I was trying to keep Jean-Pierre and Phillippe straight in my head and then the titles started calling JP P and I was lost again. Any rate, it's a good spin on Spade.
