what trouser style/colour goes best with brown shoes ?

simple quesion really, have got a few pairs of nice brown shoes, and smart trainers. find they dont look to good with black trousers, or dark jeans.

what would be a better option ?

any thoughts appreciated

Brown, tan, knaki, olive, gray, blue, etc. Virtually all colors but for black. Of course, brown shoes do come in different shades and that would make a difference, in my view, as to which shoe to go with which pant. if you browse through the WAYWN thread, you will find a wealth of suggestions.

My view is that trainers ought be worn when training. I do not view trainers (sneakers) as appropriate to wear as regular foot wear. However, if you do not agree I would not wear those with anything but jeans, cotton khakis or cotton cargo pants.

cheers, thats good advice. i always like to have a pair of comfy trainers for kicking about in, just that i've never had them in a dark brown before. dark or black jeans isnt really working with these though.

fair point, although the black or dark blue jeans i've got dont really work with them. the brown shoes i've got (as opposed to trainers) work with what i've got, hence why i was asking about the trainers specifically.
