What to wear with....

Need your help please guys. I was given this coat for xmas and i really want to start wearing it. I figure its quite smart and classic looking but want to wear it casually. So i'm thinking it'll look good with slim dark denim and a nice crew / v neck sweater. What i cant figure out is what to wear on my feet with it. I wear adidas sneakers alot and desert boots. Do you guys think these will work ? Would like some other suggestions especially sneaker wise

Seems like that will be fine, some chelsea boots wouldn't be bad either.

I would think maybe something darker than desert boots, which I'm assuming are a light brown. Drizzt's suggestion of Chelsea boots is good.

Contrary to popular belief, there is footwear that isn't chelsea boots, desert boots, motorcycle boots, or sneakers. I suggest some black wingtips.
