What to wear with Dark Brown Cords

I love wearing cords. They are just super comfortable to me for some reason. The problem is I don't know what to match with my Dark Brown ones. If it helps they are a straight leg. I usually have no problem matching colors and stuff but these brown pants are tough! I think I am too used to jeans.
Anyone have any photos off hand showing good get ups with brown cords?

+1 on all of these suggestions If you're looking to wear an odd jacket with them a blue blazer (especially in somehthing a little fuzzy like cashmere) is great. You can stay close to home in the brown family with a light tan blazer too. If you're not planning on wearing a jacket just match it with a (preferably patterned) OCBD and a navy sweater. It's tradtastic!

What do your wear with your wide-leg dark brown cords?

I agree with the above suggestions, but don't overlook grey flannel - the right shade of grey can work well with brown.

For shirts, most darker shades of the jewel colours work superbly when paired with dark brown cords. A cream jacket would then provide the finishing touch. I would avoid other earth tones - don't want to look like an anachronism from the British countryside (unless, of course, you are specifically going for that look).

Interesting - dark brown isn't a common colour for British countrywear (lovat, olive and lighter browns are the staples). Dark brown is more a colour of Italian countrywear.

Brown is a neutral so take your pick. The problem with my cords (mineral gray, something along the line of heather) is not what to wear up top but what shoes to wear. I usually work it with my J Crew desert boots but I don't like it that well with oxfords. Saddle's can probably wok though
