this is very similar to what i have .. in style and colour (although mine are c&j 'harvards') .. would be interested in what you think of other shades of cordovan as well such as the whiskey cordovan loafer below which i was thinking of getting soon anyway ..

^^^I like these whiskey loafers. I don't mean to derail the discussion, but who makes them? I also have the C&J Harvard, and love them.

It does look like the Harvard. But you said that it was in whiskey, which made me curious. I didn't think it was available in whiskey.

it is only available in dark brown in the uk .. but ben silver in the us carries then in whiskey and burgundy cordovan. it is possible to have them made in the uk by special order but the cost is a whopping £700.

That's a nice cavalry twill color, burgundy loafers would look good with it.

how about the whiskey loafer .. or would the yellowish leather clash with the browny tan trouser?

Definitely burgundy. The whisky would be better with light blue or grey, IMO.

Funny that you mention that. I recall my father's jodhpurs sitting in the back of his closet for ages. Never wore them but wouldn't throw them out.
