Also, the wedding is not super formal or anything. I'm sure there will be lots of people in just khakis and a polo shirt.

I just got chills...

I have a feeling this will end in tears.

How many sizes too big is the dress shirt?

About zero sizes too big. I have clothes that fit, just not many that are appropriate for a wedding. Your snarkiness is unnecessary.

Good choice dude. Of all your options, the one which included not wearing the black blazer sounded the best.

Have fun!

Wrong.

Now, have you indicated whether you're willing to spend any money? If you have a set amount available to spend the forum might help you prioritize what to buy for this particular occasion, which will likely leave you with an ensemble that will translate into other areas of your life to boot.

In the op, I said I could buy different pants and/or brown shoes for this occasion because I don't have them.

To assume I dress sloppily because I don't have said items or because I'm asking for advice is ridiculous. So yes, his comment was unnecessary.

I simply asked for recommendations and the "wear a sweater and a tasteful tie instead of the blazer" comment was great.

Thanks!
