I recently picked up a silver tailored silk/wool blend suit jacket from a thrift store.

What would you recommend I wear with this? Since I couldn't find any pants with the same material...

By the way, this is my first post, and I love this forum! I have recently started dressing up a bit more and the styleguide forum has been helpful.

white shirt, shade of red pants, white PS, brown suede belt and shoes... boom, you're money.

I think greys plus reds/burgandy/pink and white is a nice combo... like a grey suit, pink shirt, and white PS for example. So here I'm suggesting the same colors but reversing the pieces. So a grey sportscoat, colorful pants, and white shirt to balance it out.

looks less "silver tailored silk/wool blend suit jacket" and more orphaned charcoal coat with low notches.

Yeah, I guess charcoal would be a better fit.

I re-title this "charcoal silk/wool blend suit that was once tailored for someone other than myself, and was orphaned and adopted"

I have a wool and silk silver sharkskin jacket from a throaty store, probably made bespoke for someone in the early sixties. I wear I with a white shirt and light gray trousers or dark jeans.

So, should I toss this one? or give it new life? I only paid $4! The only knowledge I have regarding clothing is whatever the guy at Tip Top sells me.
