Usually my philosophy as well. Though there was a time I ran into a man in coat tails and top hat for a Spring or Summer night's ballet who looked like he was trying too hard.

May I suggest this? Finding the proper collar to go with it would be difficult, but probably not impossible. Or perhaps this one? Perhaps red is more your thing....
