So the Kennedy Center is celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the greatest hip-hop album ever recorder, "Illmatic". Nas will perform the album in its entirety, backed by the National Symphony Orchestra pops. What the **** do I wear to this thing?

this is gonna be a dope show..........I saw Nas at Radio City for NYE last year and I wore a blazer w/ white shirt and some jeans.

Nas will most probably wear a tux (he wore a cream DJ w/ black accessories and bowtie for the NYE show) so you probably won't be over dressed

Dressy suit, dress shirt, tie if it was me. Maybe a tuxedo if I had one.

I don't have a tux. We attend 2-3 functions where a tux would be appropriate but the overwhelming majority of men wear suits. The fact that I post here should be an indication that I don't want to dress like the overwhelming majority of men.

I think it's finally time for me to buy a tux, and I'll probably wear it to this show.
