I recently gave away 5 pairs of Ferragamo dress shoes(tramezza line) my parents purchased for me in my late teens. Reason for riddance? I figured the toe shape was slightly "square" thus out of style. However, I managed to keep this particular pair. What do you think? In my closet or to the Goddwill store? I need a SF ruling.

I would keep them, polish them and use them as beaters.

If you can afford to replace them with something new, donate them with the others. Welcome to Styleforum izzie.

Keep 'em. Not the most elegant lasting, but certainly not egregious. If the shoes you gave away were similarly contoured, I think you were unwise to have done so.

Thank you very much for your input, dear SF members. I've decided to keep this pair and occasionally wear it as well. The donated 5 pairs from the Tramezza collection were in fact in much better condition than this one. I just didn't like the toe shape. That's all. Although I'm getting two pairs of brand new Church's dress shoes, they will most likely be open channel. It wouldn't hurt to own a pair of Tramezza shoes with good year construction and closed channel stitching.

Not too many 18 or 19 year old kids would wear or need 6 pairs of Tramezza dress shoes? :hide:

Those are not overly square and look better than some of the newer Tramezza styles.
