What to do with 22ft of excess wool fabric?

Wanted to get some thoughts on what to do with 22ft (2 - 11' x 10") of excess wool fabric that I picked up at a carpet factory in Tibet. The original thought was to make a scarf but the fabric is really rough, a little softer than a burlap sack. Or is there a way to soften the fabric? Also, while I've posted this in the clothing section, I'm open to other home decorating ideas.

Table runner
Place mats

1. Make a knit tie out of it.
2. Get PG to wear it and take pictures.
3. Watch the MC forum get into a frenzy
???
4. Profit
