Ok so here's the story. I bought a 1/2 case of wine online and it was shipping was 3 day UPS. Seller sent me a tracking number and scheduled delivery was june 2nd. So yesterday nothing 3 people were at my house all day and when I got home from work I ask and they say that nothing came in. So I check the tracking # status at about 10pm and it says the package was delivered that morning at 9:30am. So I walk around the outside of the house and check, nothing found. I email the seller about what to do now and he's not being very helpful. I think maybe the case was delivered to the wrong address. What do I do now?

UPS delivered some stuff I bought from Yoox to the wrong address, they required signature but didn't bother to check if it matched the name on the package.

UPS packages are automatically insured for $50 or $100, so tell the seller to file a claim for you.

I think with UPS, they record certain details when they deliver a package. If they said that it's already been delivered, you can see what the UPS man wrote down ie. 'dropped off' or 'recieved; male'. I know Fedex does this, not sure about UPS though.
I don't know if the seller is at fault here or not.

I did, but in truth I don't think they would be honest with me. I don't live in the greatest of neighborhoods. Whoever got it probably opened it up and was thinking "Jackpot!"

Seller said he would contact UPS and ask if they got a signature on delivery as he had payed for. If not, as he assumes they just left it at some house, any house; he will file a claim and either reimburse me or send me a new case.

I used to work for UPS a few years ago. Check to see if it went with a neighbor but otherwise the seller should file a claim. Once they do that they should send you another item.

I analyzed UPS orders for certain accounts and was amazed how many packages never got there on time or went missing because I've only had one package arrive late ever. The people sorting your packages at the hubs are literally all ex-cons. They get so good that they can tell what is in a box just by looking at the dimensions of the box.

my friend manages at UPS, and he tells me that most of the workers are marsupialed. its also located right beside one of the worst ghettos in the city. so thats generally the type of people dealing with packages in the hub.
