I bought a coat that fits just how I like it everywhere - feels great in the chest region, the arms, length is where it's supposed to be. The only problem I have is the length of the sleeves are a little too long. Fortunately they don't cover my hands entirely but I'd like them to be maybe a half inch shorter. How can I work with this? I don't want to get a smaller coat because the rest fits me very well, it's just the sleevesd that I'd like to have a little bit shorter. The sleeves come a little past my palms, which I can still deal with but I'd prefer it to stop right at my wrist.

Sounds like a relatively easy alteration any tailor can perform unless there are functioning buttons.
