What suede chukkas do you recommend under $400?

Im looking for suede chukka boots under $400. Have searched forum but dot know which ones are good quality and will last me several years.

Any goodyear welted shoe that you see recommended on here will easily last 'several' years, properly cared for.

My suggestion is the Loake Pimlico. I own the Loake Kempton, and they're wearing very well. I'll pick up a pair of Loake Pimlico when my cheap chukkas finally give out.

Check Bluefly for Church's, with sales and coupons you can get them sub $350, or on stp you can find Trickers for sub $300 on sale. I prefer the Church's, but both are very well made and should last for years.

those appear to be aldens, so i would just pick up a pair of aldens if I were you.

It's pretty sleek last.
It's a bologna stitch construction which in reality wouldn't differ greatly I don't think from the (gemming) goodwear welt standard in terms of re-soling.


"Sleek?" It looks frikkin elven. Not a good choice for a casual shoe, IMO.
