What style of cufflinks; gold or silver...?

    I'm going to wear morning dress for my upcoming afternoon concert - charcoal coat, similar waistcoat, striped gray pants, white shirt and tie. What kind of cufflinks are considered OK for this combo? Also I have heard that toggle/swivel/torpedo back cufflinks are not recommended. Something I don't understand, since I thought that all cufflinks have toggle/swivel/torpedo backs. Also does it matter whether the are silver or gold?

    Double-sided cuff links are more traditional, and far superior from an aesthetic perspective. I sell only double-sided cuff links. These days, the one-sided kind is dominant at most retail outlets so I can see why you might think that. What's popular is not always what's right.

    Silver or gold? Consider what other metals you will be wearing: watch, belt buckle, etc. Or you could try mother of pearl.

    Try to match your watch, bracelet if you wear one.
