What style Allen Edmonds are these?

Hello everyone, just wondering if anyone could help me out identifying these Allen Edmonds? I was in Marshall's today and came across like 5 pairs of these in different sizes on the clearance rack for $69. As you can see from the pics there is no name on them, and they did not come with a box. They appear to resemble the Hillcrest, however they aren't identical to the pictures of them I've seen online. I'm a 10D and when I tried these on talk about a perfect fit, I hate to say it but these feel a little better than my Park Avenues. I'm just a little sure how these shoes came about with no model name, are they displays, prototypes, etc... If anyone could shed some light I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks...

I think they're just Hillcrests with the new insole, manufactured from excess stock for special sales.

What does the interior numbering say? It would tell us what last these are on, and I think the Hillcrest was on the 1, 4, or 7 lasts.

The numbering inside the shoe is 10D 0704 10030. I'm pretty sure the 4 at the end of 0704 refers to the 4 last.

Judging by the pictures, I am not surprised they found their way to Marshalls. Now you can have both the Allen Edmonds patented blobby last, you can have it in a pseudo-bike toe as well..

I emailed AE and they were super fast in responding stating this model was the Harwell. Anyone know anything about them?

They are ugly. You might be able to make $30 per pair with live.com on your side, or maybe not.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
