Sonos is also nice because you can expand the system all through your house. Even use Play:1 as a stereo pair.

So I wound up with the Edifier Bluetooth speakers. They get in tomorrow so will report back on my experience. Thanks for the feedback.

Does anyone use Wisdom Sage speakers? I am thinking of replacing my Wilson Sabrinas and Watch Center CS to make my architect happy.

Your architect thinks Wisdom Audio looks better than the Sabrinas? IMO the Sabrina’s are the best looking of the Wilson line. It looks more like a sculpture than a speaker, particularly if you get a color that works with your decor.

For pure visual interest I don’t think you can beat the Nautilus. Even the Blades.

What do you guys think about using a pair of active subwoofers to help round out the sound? I listen to mostly classical music (not much Bach organ) and I have been reading that subwoofers can help bring up the midrange and give a fuller sound. Anyone have experience with that?

Thanks

A couple of new additions over the last years
- Chord Blu CD Transport
- Aurender X100L streamer
- Devialet 220 Pro amplifier
- Sonja Faber Olympia II
- Shunyata Triton v3 and Entreq Silver Tellus (in the two drawers at the bottom of USM unit)

Cabling is largely Shunyata Zitron, with a Chord digital and Audience USB cable

I'm new to the forum.
What is your advice regarding a small stereo?
I was thinking about Bose Soundwave.

Do you know an equipment with better sound and better design for approximatly the same price?

BTW congrats on your new Wilson’s. I heard the Alexia 2 at a dealer a few months back on Spectrals and they have a real low end body to them. Are you running the Alexias on ARCs?

I would be satisfied with my system if I didn’t know how much better it could be. For my money, I favor Magicos on Jadis. The Magico M3 with the Jadis JA200 + JP80 have a beautiful midrange.

I like it but I’m not sure I can justify the cost.

On a whim, I picked up a pair of second hand Totem Metal (Element series) that were priced too good to pass up and figured I would just flip them for a quick profit, as Totem is such a fanboy speaker around here (I flipped a pair of Arro's a while back and didn't think they were all that).

I hooked them up to my system for a demo to make sure they work ok. HOLY JEBUS!!

Never thought I would be replacing my vintage Apogee Duetta's, but these Metals do it all...and do it all very well. Just might be keeping them.

Don't know how the rest of the Element series sounds, but I highly recommend giving them a listen if they are in your budget. Totems are plentiful, but the Element series don't seem to be very common on the used market.
