What sort of tie to match pink striped shirt?

I agree with some blue or green. I would stay away from anything pink or red, they'll clash.

Strangely enough, pink is actually one of those colors you can match with almost anything. I'd be more concerned about the pattern matching the striped shirt.

Stay with something subtle.

Wow, such great responses. (I'm the TS.)

This is only my second pink shirt, and I never quite knew what tie to wear the first with. I see now that navy would be excellent. I haven't any green or brown ties though.

Yes, brown and burgundy are good too. Make sure the burgundy isn't too red, though.

I'm having a difficult time thinking what doesn't go with the shirt.

Orange, red, yellow, and white are colors that would look bad with the shirt.

A lot of people have mentioned gray and silver. I wonder if there'd be enough contrast with the shirt? My guess is that there wouldn't be.

Other than the obvious choice of navy, I think brown and green would both be very good choices. Pink and green is especially appropriate for spring and summer, although it's a somewhat bold look. Pink and brown always looks good.
I've actually been looking for a tie to match a shirt just like this with brown or green. Was thinking with pink pin dots but am having trouble finding a good one. Any suggestions?
