I picked up a nice dark earthy green plaid jacket from Oxxford today. I think it's cashmere or a blend, very soft. In any case I was hoping it would fit my stepdad who wears around a 46L. It certainly won't fit me. For $[censored] in perfect shape aside from the mutilated inside-pocket tag I thought it was worth the gamble. I took some measurements using Andrew's guide and want some input as to what size this thing measures out to. I guesstimated at the store based on how much room I had in it, and took some general measurements there to make sure it at least wouldn't be too small. Obviously I will just have him try it on, but I want to see what size this translates out to esp. if I end up selling it on ebay. Anyway, here are the measurements, if I am doing them right. Across underarms: 25" Waist: 24" Shoulders: 20-21" Length: 34.25" Sleeves: 26.25" Looking at the length is that an XL? it hangs about 4" past my own regular jacket length and I'm 6'0". I also got one pair of Incotex Super 150s trousers and one pair of Zegna trousers, and a pair of black AE Lloyds in very good shape, all of which should fit him well. Grand total under $[censored]. Also, the Incotexes upon further inspection have a little loop sewn over the fly, pointing up, like a small belt loop. Is that for a watch chain or something? There's a small watch-size pocket on the left between this loop and the hand pocket. Thanks.
