What should I do with this shirt?

I ordered this shirt from Brooks Brothers.com. It's a small and regular fit. Unfortunately I'm not happy with the off-the-rack fit like I had hoped. As you can see, I need to lose some weight, but regardless I am not happy with the fit. I need advice. I'm not sure whether to have the shirt tailored or to send it back. Here are a couple of pictures. What do you think?

There's no way to tailor it to fit your belly better. Send it back or go for a run.

I know that. But other than that, I think the sleeves have way too much extra fabric. The shoulder seams seem to hang off my shoulders a slight bit and there seems too be too much fabric under my arms. Even if the shoulder seems can be corrected, if they need to be, I think the sleeves would become too short, especially should the shirt ever shrink at all.

Like I said, that is a Brooks Brothers (1818) regular fit in small. I tried on a small slim at a BB outlet store (the 346 line) and it was way too small and tight in the belly. I assume the fits of the 346 and 1818 lines are the same. Is there any chance a medium slim fit might fit better?

I've lost 9lbs, but still have more to go obviously. Maybe I ought to wait before spending on shirts.

Edit:

Here's some more perspective just in case it helps elicit advice:

Basically none of what you're talking about can be fixed--and it certainly wouldn't be worth trying to do massive work on this shirt. There is nothing to do but send it back and try another maker. I do think, however, that you're going to have some trouble finding a narrower yoke without also having a narrower waist OTR. But, although it's not perfect, I don't think the shoulder or biceps fit on that shirt is egregious. The only thing that makes it unwearable is the fit at the stomach.

Yeah, I'd send it back too. If it was simply that the sleeves were a bit long (which they are) then it's a quick fix; but the way the shoulder seam hangs away from your shoulders should be avoided.

I don't think you should have too much trouble if you shop around a bit, however if you have no choice then you could always have an inch or two taken off the sleeves for damage control.

Good look with the rest of the weight loss, well done on the first 9lbs.

Okay. Thanks for the advice. The shirt is sent back. I guess I'll have to lose more weight and maybe go for the slim fit and/or find another brand.
