What shoes with a black sweater?

I just picked up a black, mock-neck, zip cardigan. So far, I've been wearing it mostly with tshirts or henley shirts underneath and chuck taylors for shoes. I want to wear the sweater with some button down shirts and I don't think chucks would be that suitable for shoes. I'd like to pick up another pair of shoes; either dress boots or moccasins. I have no clue what color to get though. I definately don't want black boots or shoes but I don't think brown would go that well with black. Any suggestions?

What's wrong with a button-down and white chucks? Looks perfectly ok IMO.

I don't mind the look. I'm just looking for dressier shoes that I can wear with it as well.

For boots, maybe consider grey suede, or yellow leather.

Of course, the colors of your shirts will have some say in the matter.
