Got myself a black suit for a wedding... What type of shoes should I get? Black? Brown? *weird name for brownish color*? :S

Also where are some cheap dress shoes? I'm not going to get Allen Edmonds because I'm pretty sure I will grow out of them.

Well being that I see you will be a server at this wedding, I suggest you get something that you can't slip, and will be easy on your feet all day long.

Seriously tho, if you didn't listen to our advice on the suit color, why would you listen to our advice on shoes? This is what I recommend: http://www.kennethcole.com/product/i...entPage=family

You guys are assholes.

To the original poster, black suits are generally looked down upon on Style Forum. If the wedding is black tie, you can get a very nice tuxedo (world's better than what you'd rent) for around $250 from Jeff at Wizard of Aahs on e-bay. If the wedding is not black tie, try a different suit. But if you must go with a black suit, try black oxfords. Don't wear a black tie to fake a tux.

I would, depending on the event. The shade of grey is important too.

I feel the right gray shoes could redeem a black suit. I'm not quite sure which ones the right ones are though. Dark gray suede? But maybe the black suit would best be in a non-conventional fabric like a thin wale corduroy. And I guess, we are talking about something completely different then and navy or midnight blue might still be better.
