What shoes to where with a blazer?

So i just went out and got myself fitted for a navy blue blazer, got it fitted and everything so I'm excited about getting to wear it soon. I'd wear a solid white button up underneath with some sort of tie. Khaki pants and a brown belt, and then here's where i run into the problem...what type of shoes should i wear?

I was thinking about getting a pair of brown clark bushacres or maybe a dark oxford, I'm just not sure how they would look.

This is for a career fair so i'm dressing to impress, but I don't want to overdo it

Any suggestions or tips?

I think black oxfords would be the best choice. But wouldn't a suit be a better choice for a career fair?

Medium brown oxfords or even a nice loafer.

I presume you are certain that suits will not be 'the norm'? Is this an 'on campus' fair?

It's on on campus career fair and most people either wear blazers or just button downs with ties.

Any specific brands or anything?

By the way, im only 20, so I'm going for a more modern look

my personal choice and suggestion as well...I think wearing a dressier grey/tan trouser is better but I guess Khaki will work for too. Good Luck

Medium brown oxfords will look great with khakis, and should be versatile enough to wear with most of your wardrobe. Just remember to get a pair you can imagine wearing with jeans, or whatever your day-to-day outfit is. Even though you are trying to dress to impress, it would be a shame to spend the money on a pair of shoes you won't get much more use out of.

I'd suggest bluchers in preferences to oxfords/bal for wear with a blazer and khakis--more sartorially harmonious. As others have suggested, a medium brown or dark tan might be your best bet.

You're 20 and you can't distinguish the proper usage between "wear" and "where?"
