Why not a pair of black leather driving loafers? They're a good blend of casual/dressy. Thats what I'd get.

they are elegant, but not to elegant. i think, you can wear almost any pair of elegant shoes with a nice pair of jeans and shirt as long as they are not made for some sort of tuxedo event

Ugh.. those are some horrific looking fake gators. Those Hugo Boss shoes would work just fine, although at full price they are over-priced for a shoe of that quality.

it's not the intention of those shoes to convince anyone that they are ''gator shoes'' and i still think they look good with jeans

How about a good pair of Chelsea or Jodhpur boots?
